Creative Movement (ages 18 months -3) Coventry
Spark your child’s love for dance with our “Mommy & Me” style dance class. For 30 minutes, toddlers will be able to explore and be creative. As they work on their fine and gross motor skills, they will begin to understand what a dance class entails. They will learn to socialize and follow directions as well as take turns and support their friends. Dance related activities will allow for each toddler to progressa t theirown best with a gentle nudge from the teacher who is leading them towards independence and confidence.
This class is a transitional class therefore, the goal is to allow the toddler the time it needs to feel independent in class while becoming potty-trained at home. Once they show the signs of independence, Mommy or daddy will longer be asked to participate, which will continued the child’s growth towards independence. Once the teacher feels that the child is ready to meet the expectations of the next class, she will communicate this to the parents. At which time, the child will be moved into the traditional dance classes and start preparing for our annual performance in June.
This class is a great beginning for the exploration of socialization, independence, physical health, spatial awareness, dance, and music.
